On a lighter note...

the talk that we went was erm, interesting. haha :D it was really infromative for all us, students from other schools, a WHOLE bunch of china students and some from other countries. yup so the speaker was Mr...... ah forget it i cant remember, yup he was a japanese. thats why he had a weird accent that we cant figure out. oh wells, the whole LT(actually its only a slightly bigger classroom) was filled with people and 90% were PRCs and the whole LT was so full that people who came on time had to stand for the duration of the talk, and its on time! some however, were practically wasting their time over there. there were 2 prcs beside us and seemed to be a couple, and for the whole duration of the talk they did not even listen for the least bit, maybe they were just there to gain access to the internet, LOL lame. EXCUSE ME, where is your basic courtesy? didn't your mother teach you not to speak when others are speaking? rude people! their loud conversation even made tiffany and i to turn and stared at them , yet they were still oblivious to their surroundings.

oh nevermind about these rude people. i tried to keep awake for as long as i could as the speaker rattled on with his hypnotic voice. alas, my efforts went down the drain when i dozed off. the talk was simply as informative , but too informative and deep for us , these middle school students.

the best part was the Q&A sessions , the PrCs went up to ask questions, but their weird accent/slang was so serious that it completely morphed their linguistic queries into jokes that tickled the audience. there was one question that said " if neutrinos were not present, what will happen to the FAT of the unverse" actuallly it was supposed to be EFFECT, and many other lame pronunciations.

*turns on music* Howver the REFRESHMENTS there was very nice and was from the SMILING ORCHID. WEIRD ! how can an orchid smile? haha but nevermind most importantly it was the quality of the food , it was superb and simply irresistable. yum yum! HOWEVER it seemed that there was a stampede of barbarians stomping in a civilised city when we moved on to take the food, the PRCs were incorrugible. They were simply wrapping around the serving tables and were behaving like aluminium oxide coating the metal, impregnable barrier. So we as civilised sutdents shall not join in the game of snatching and piling of food, we waited for the crowd to disperse. however to our dismay when the crowd disappeared, no food were left on the trays! AGAIN RUDE PEOPLE! didn't your father teach you not to be selfish and leave some food for others? SHARE is the magic word. ahh nevermind since i am on a diet i shall forgive them and do a good deed . so overall i tried their mee siam and ate the tuna pastery. NOT BAD ! their food compared to those in RV was so much better. BUFFET COMITTEE OF RV PLEASE TAKE NOTE!

thats my day today!
next post: our social studies lesson! LOL

its 11 pm now and i haven started revising for my physics which is tomorrow, i am so dead.

council.

,it was 28th council icebreakers yesterday, it was fun to see the new batch of greenhorns that still had so much to learn, so much to experience, so much to envision what the future was going to be like for them.

it was also enriching to be the organiser of the event, how to sec4 councillors were able to work well enough to make this last event of theirs a memorable one. good job guys!
they say council is like a tree, with the different coms being the different parts of the tree yada yada yada, like no one can do without the other, and the main com playing the key role in the council. this is so philosophical and so theory like, i am utterly disappointed by the representation of the council by the juniors, and i know no one will disagree as this is so called the "theoretical right answers". i am not trying to be the Devil's Advocate, but cant their explanation be something more heartfelt, something the seniors can be proud of.

i say council is like water, it has no fixed shape, which makes it the most versatile matter of all three. with no fixed shape the council is able to form different groups and still able to work well together even they are from different coms. you may say my representation is also the so-called "right answer" that gains the acceptance of the public but heck, this is MY view.

however the key personnel in council are the teachers, they are the ones that rejects and forces us to think to evem more 'creative'and resource saving, and most importantly, it must save money. yet the students complain about how the SCs are worthless and lousy as they cant even think of something better and less energy and time comsuming to commorate the event that happens once every half century. so the council is sort of like stuck in between to forces of colossal magnitude squeezing every juice out of the council. its tough i tell you to be stuck between these two groups of people. we think of very creative and fun ideas to 'entertain' the students, but more oftenly than not, they reject it. dont you think planning an huge event is easy, social started planning months ago, only to be rejected by the teachers repeatedly, yet we cannot express our opinions just like that. sucks isnt it.

the teachers are able to REMOVE coucillors with the snap of their fingers, how easy their job can be. they think of absurd ideas to remove councillors that they dont like, or maybe just to please the others or even someone of higher authority, and the reply of " oh they didnt pass the interview" or even "they didnt have enough votes" yeah we know that but do you have PROVE? its like the doctor telling you your someone died without any reason or whatsoever.it pains my heart to see these councillors not given any more chance to prove their capability and we do not know they reason why.

i feel contented, cause i know i have a great bunch of successors. my juniors rock. jiayou bah people, as anything can happen in the future, we will have them back. parting isnt bad, it give both parties to reflect on their own action and on what to improve. their departure from the council isnt a bad thing as we know it will not be permanent, we hope.

note: views expressed above do not represent the overall view of the council, its MY views.

...

7th july 2006, 1 year after the London bombing. it was the bomb explosion that killed 52 people. This shows how easily people can affect the lives of the others. how true can this be in our everyday lives. people can get affected by a minute event, even if there were up on cloud nine before that. i can say that i have seen and gone through many things, but never i will express them up on my face, as i know people feel according to what they see. ahh nevermind...

i love the fountain at raffles place. i would have stayed there even longer if not for them nudging me to move. the squirts of water from the pipes were really fascinating, precise and artistic. it was impossible for them to collide with one another. i thought about alot of things- present and future. what will happen to me in the future? will i lose all these good friends i have know?

i treat people as friends or even good/best friends. but are they doing the same? i remember reading from somewhere, sagittaurus people can have a lot of friends, they can have a wide social circle, but often as it seems to be, they are so called the social butterfly who jump from one circle of friendsto another and never being able to find the flower that is rightfully theirs. i think i am one perfect example.

if you people can spare the time, why not make a trip down to anywhere that have a water fountain and appreciate the marvel of it, the precise and accurate movement of the squirts and sprouts. it will be nice and trust me.

oh wells. bye people :(
i really don't think this is one of my usual self, i am feeling wrong these days and i cant help it.
